Airport Runway Fiber Optic Self-Healing Ring Network Transmission System Solution
The solution establishes a dedicated fiber-optic ring network between the airport runway area and the air traffic control building. It employs a dual-ring, dual‑homing architecture, with each runway forming its own independent ring and the central site utilizing redundant dual‑device access. In the event of a failure, the network achieves millisecond‑level self‑healing switching in under 50 ms. The system provides unified transport for navigation, meteorological, dispatch‑voice, and surveillance services, enabling physical isolation and multi‑service sharing over a single network, thereby ensuring highly available transmission for core production‑critical applications.
Unattended VHF Remote Station “Two Sites, One Air Interface” Protection Communication Transmission System Solution
The solution addresses the high‑reliability requirements of critical air traffic control communication nodes—VHF stations and radar sites—by adopting a three‑dimensional “two locations, one airspace” protection architecture: two terrestrial E1 links supplemented by a wireless microwave backup. Through a “dual‑node, triple‑path, single‑interlock” design, it achieves dual redundancy at both the equipment and link levels. At both the local and remote ends, two sets of PCM equipment (A/B units) are deployed, working in concert with protection‑switching devices to enable centralized monitoring and automatic switchover. When the primary E1 link fails, traffic is automatically rerouted to the microwave backup; in extreme scenarios where both terrestrial E1 links fail simultaneously, airborne support remains available. Should a single PCM unit malfunction, affected services are seamlessly switched over to a functioning device via cross‑connection. The system supports unattended operation and centralized monitoring, eliminating the need for on‑site manual intervention.
RS Company’s XU4200 Radio Communication and Transmission System Solution
Guangzhou YinXun has launched a remote communication solution for civil aviation airports, specifically designed to interface with R&S’s XU4200 radio and the GB4000V remote control unit. The system employs ZMUX-series multiplexing equipment to enable fiber‑optic or E1 transmission between the central air traffic control building and remote stations. The ZMUX series supports dual‑path primary‑backup protection switching and features centralized monitoring along with SMS‑based alarm notifications. With a modular architecture, the equipment can accommodate a variety of service modules, meeting the comprehensive communication needs of airport meteorology, radar, navigation, and other systems. This solution has already been deployed in the dedicated air traffic control networks of more than 100 domestic airports.
VHF/Radar data IP, E1, and fiber-optic triple-link protection transmission
Guangzhou YinXun offers a triple‑link protection solution for VHF/radar data, leveraging the ZMUX‑4102 platform to enable automatic switching among IP, E1, and fiber‑optic links. As long as any single link remains operational, reliable transmission of meteorological self‑observation signals is ensured. The system supports centralized network‑wide monitoring and is well suited for high‑reliability applications such as air traffic control and civil aviation.
Multi-service Communication Transmission System with “Dual-IP Link Protection”
A dual-IP link protection solution that, by monitoring network quality in real time, automatically switches between IP routes from different carriers, ensuring uninterrupted transmission of multiple services.
Dual-loop, four-directional link protection transmission system for an airport navigation beacon
At a certain airport, both the runway‑1 and runway‑2 navigation stations are equipped with ZMUX‑1100 series SDH optical transmission equipment and ZMUX‑4102 multi‑service access and transmission devices, all independently developed and manufactured by Guangzhou YinXun. These systems enable the transmission of navigation‑related signals between the remote navigation stations and the central monitoring center.
