The ZMUX-1200 is a high-capacity, non‑intrusive E1‑channel protection switching device that features a modular chassis design. By flexibly configuring E1 protection line cards, a single chassis can support 1+1 primary‑backup routing protection for up to 56 E1 channels.

The device continuously monitors the status and transmission quality of the primary and backup E1 links, enabling seamless, lossless automatic switchover within ≤20 ms in the event of a failure or performance degradation. This ensures zero service interruption and zero perceived impact, fully meeting carrier‑grade reliability standards.

The device can be deployed at the network edge or used in conjunction with a remote site. It is specifically designed to ensure the continuity of critical services such as mobile base station backhaul, dedicated lines for key government and enterprise customers, and real-time video conferencing, serving as a reliable cornerstone for building highly available transport networks.

In addition, this product series includes models such as the ZMUX-121 (supporting 1 E1 protection channel), the ZMUX-122 (supporting 2 E1 protection channels), the ZMUX-124 (supporting 4 E1 protection channels), and the ZMUX-1200 (supporting 56 E1 protection channels), thereby meeting the protection requirements of businesses of varying scales.
