For many years, traditional TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) switching technology has been one of the core technologies in multi-service bearer networks. However, with the rapid development of communication technology, IP-based core networks (IMS) and bearer networks have matured and been deployed on a large scale, with the ability to replace traditional TDM equipment. At the same time, a large number of TDM devices have been in operation for more than 20 years, with high aging failure rates and inconvenient maintenance. Operators have been seeking a suitable path for TDM network retirement.

Development Background

For many years, traditional TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) switching technology has been one of the core technologies in multi-service bearer networks. However, with the rapid development of communication industry technology, core networks (IMS) and bearer networks based on IP technology have matured and been deployed on a large scale, with the ability to replace traditional TDM equipment. At the same time, a large number of TDM devices have been in operation for more than 20 years, with high aging failure rates and inconvenient maintenance. Operators have been seeking a suitable path for TDM network retirement.

Currently, major operators' networks are transforming from traditional circuit-switched networks to next-generation networks based on IP technology. Private network users rent transmission circuits from operators, providing more IP circuits, enabling the continuous integration of vertical networks carrying single service types and developing into horizontal layered networks carrying multiple service types.

However, when private network users are preparing to multiplex services onto IP circuits, they encounter problems. The unpredictable and uncontrollable delay and jitter of IP circuits make it difficult to meet the requirements of audio and video data transmission with high timing requirements.

New Generation IP Bearer Network

In view of the above background, Guangzhou Yinxun Company has made early plans and proposed a new generation of multi-service IP bearer network application and solutions. It can be based on various transmission links such as IP links, E1/2M links, fiber optics, or wireless 4G, to meet the unified access, aggregation, switching, transmission, and management requirements of 64K narrowband services and broadband data services. It is suitable for the current trend of IP-based transmission network development and future wireless 4G/5G deployment, to solve the access and transmission requirements of private network users such as airports, maritime, power, energy, railways, and expressways.
